Der ultimative Reiseführer für eine Küstenfahrt am Schwarzen Meer
Bulgaria's Black Sea coast is one of Eastern Europe's most rewarding road trips. The entire stretch from Varna to Sozopol is just over 200 km and easily covered in two days — or stretched into a week if you want to linger.
Day 1: Varna → Sunny Beach (95 km)
Head south on the coast road (A2 then E87). Stop at Byala for coffee with a view of the chalk cliffs, then continue to Obzor for lunch. Arrive in Sunny Beach in the afternoon — explore the promenade, then base overnight in nearby Nessebar.
Day 2: Nessebar → Sozopol (50 km)
Spend the morning in Nessebar old town (UNESCO heritage), then drive south to Pomorie — known for its salt lake and mud baths. Finish in Sozopol, a charming ancient Greek colony with cobblestone streets and excellent seafood restaurants.
